TORONTO PRIDE WISHES JOBURG PRIDE WELL

The former Chairperson of Joburg Pride, Tracey Sandilands (2007), who is now the Executive Director of Pride Toronto in Canada has sent a message of support for Joburg Pride 2009!

Hi everyone

I know it's Joburg Pride this weekend (been following the communications :-) and I would like to wish you all the best from everyone at Pride Toronto. I'll be with you there in spirit (is it really only a year since I was there for Pride?) and maybe in a year or two I'll be able to attend again. I hope you have a fantastic time and that it's an unequivocal success.

Tracey Sandilands spent five years as a board member of the first Cape Town Pride Festival and then Joburg Pride in 2007 and 2008. She was also Media and Events manager with the Triangle Project, a queer service organisation in the Western Cape, for a year. She became Executive Director of Pride Toronto in 2008.
